Dr. Victor Z. Chen is an Associate Professor of International Management at The Belk College of Business. His research focuses on institutional dynamics and diversity around the world, business strategy from a top management perspective, and general questions on (re)inventing the science-practice ecosystem. His work has been published or forthcoming in Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Corporate Finance, Global Strategy Journal, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Advances in International Management, International Business Review, Multinational Business Review, and Columbia FDI Perspectives amongst others. His research has been awarded Academy of Management (AOM) Best Paper Award in International Corporate Governance, Academy of International Business (AIB) Best Paper Finalist in Emerging Economies (twice), and Asia Pacific Journal of Management Best Paper of 2014. In addition, he is leading a new initiative GoPeaks.org to form a science-practice ecosystem connecting business researchers and analytics professionals. Before his academic career, he completed all three levels of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and his research projects have been quoted by CNBC (USA), The Globe and Mail, CBC, BNN, Vancouver Sun (Canada), Valor Econômico (Brazil), RT (Russia), and Shanghai Daily (China) among others.
