Dr. Windette's research agenda focuses broadly on the area of representation in American politics with a focus on state politics, state courts, and gender and politics. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in the American Journal of Political Science, Political Analysis, Political Behavior, Public Opinion Quarterly, American Politics Research, State Politics and Policy Quarterly, the Journal of Women, Politics, and Policy and others. His current research on state courts of last resort and policy diffusion has been supported by multiple grants from the National Science Foundation.
